Job Description

Our client based in Clacton is looking for a Draughtsperson / CAD Estimator to join their busy team 



As Draughtsperson, you will be responsible for the following:

  • •• Regularly prepare drawings and calculations using Dura components
  • •• Assist with quotations using information provided by the sales team, or customers, using the most appropriate CAD software and/or Microsoft Excel by producing Bills of Quantities.
  • •• Liaise with Sales Managers regarding technical and practical issues relative to enquiries and orders ensuring sales contact is kept up to date and ensure that an informed solution is presented.
  • • Liaise and offer assistance to production/fabrication staff where necessary by producing drawings from appropriate templates.
  • •• Assisting with marketing and sales initiatives, including technical manuals and show stands.
  • •• Maintain accurate suite of BIM compliant product range drawings for marketing and internal and external use.
  • •• Accurately filing documentation and logging of tasks using internal reporting systems.
  • •• Contribute towards design proposals and new product solutions.
  • •• Attend regular meetings to share lessons learned and liaise with key departments for process change requests

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • •• Expert in AutoCAD Professional, Solid Works or other relevant design software
  • •• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
